Live Ledge #284: RSD Finds

I've already posted my thoughts on this year's Record Store Day, but that earlier post reflected mainly on the negative side of the event. Today's show celebrates (mainly) the music that was found on that glorious day. The live in the studio EP's by Jason Isbell and Drive-By Truckers. The live albums by the Cars and David Bowie. The singles by Steve Earle, Old 97's, and The Smiths. There's even an unofficial RSD release by House Of Large Sizes.

There's also a lengthy set devoted to material that was not found in local stores. I would have loved to obtain the rarities releases by Superchunk and Cheap Trick, along with the reissue of the Roky Erickson tribute, Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye. Overall, though, I did pretty well this year.

You know where to find this episode. Stitcher. iTunes. A few other podcast sites. Or...
